The Tarnished turns to look at the encroaching pale light of dawn, and there's a heaviness about her that Ranni does not envy.
Ranni has her own path, steeped in darkness and uncertainty, but her path will be different than the Tarnished. Her path is without the weight of expectation; only Blaidd, Iji and Seluvis know of her fate. Her brother Radahn had known once, and had pulled on the stars in all the cosmos until they'd stopped in their tracks and so too had stopped her destiny, but whatever knowledge he'd held has likely long since rotted away.
Anastasia, though, has many eyes upon her, and great expectation. From the Two Fingers. From the Golden Order. From many she will encounter, who are desperate for life and change to return.
Her befuddled question is greeted with only a tilting of Ranni's head. "You will learn in due time," she says kindly. "When you need it, the knowledge will come. For now, Tarnished, follow your heart. It will always steer thee true."
And with, she fades into mist, her gaze lingering on Anastasia until she's gone.
